This year has delivered a colorful palette of progress, growth and accomplishments. Even with the low points, there is plenty to be thankful for and I thank God for giving me the vision to recognize many of my blessings.

As a woman, discomfort becomes a regular part of life to which we learn to adapt. If I had to demonstrate the silver lining every story is supposed to have, it would have to be growth.
Journaling does not have to be hard. Your mindset about the practice determines whether you are receptive to the benefits of journaling as a tool.
There are tons of articles on writing, but no one writes about the emotional shock that can come with it.
With all the distractions we have in our lives today, we must make a worthy effort not to close ourselves to learning in any environment, from anyone which blocks the lesson.
Observation dictates the process, whether we admit it or embrace it is up to each individual. Writers simply do what we are called to do and the world we live in is a part of who we are and the cycle we follow.
I needed an outlet. A method of coping. Drugs and alcohol were not viable options. Writing was my vice.
