Grace in the crossroads of life is a blog of essays, articles and poetry that highlights the grace that is sometimes hard to see clearly. Sometimes the process of dealing with our issues must be addressed so we can heal and appreciate the grace shown to us.

Letting Go to Move Forward

At some point, happiness becomes a decision. People you care about and consider friends will offend you. The person may not do so intentionally or even think much of it. Don't allow people to steal your joy. Forgive them for not meeting your expectations. Forgive them for any offense, especially one that only you perceive. Make a conscious decision to let it go and move on with your life. Giving your power to them only blocks your blessings. Allow grace to keep you company and you will be comforted.

What are you holding on to that is keeping you bitter? If the relationship is important to you, go to the person to make amends. If it's not, let it go. Forgiveness is necessary to move forward. Your happiness cannot share space with bitterness, anger or resentment. Pray and ask God to guide you in the situation. Allow love to be your compass. Be blessed.
